We were asked by the Noteprinting branch of the Reserve Bank of Australia to create a number of applications to aid in the development of banknotes for overseas customers.
Essentially, we created a tool that allowed for the importation of a number of different design elements, allowed for their placement and positioning, scaling, rotation and colour management. A customised version that provided much of the functionality of a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, if you will.
Data was saved securely and transmitted backwards and forwards from clients to the Reserve Bank Noteprinting branch in a totally secure format, so that the development cycle for the design phase could be performed in a fraction of the usual timeframe.
An innovation award was won for the application, delivered as a Windows or Macintosh executable.

Here’s another innovative application that we built for the Victorian Aboriginal Centre for Languages.
